Florin (Csika) & Ana Tamas – Fundulea, Romania

Who would have thought what 2020 year would bring? We had so many resolutions in mind at the end of 2019, and never ever crossed our minds the thought of covid 19 pandemic. A year of confusion ,fear and separation ! All of us had to learn how to live with this worldwide pandemic! We’ve learned how to work , minister , hold church program, travel and even how to shop during this medical crisis.

Here in Romania the school is closed and most of the kids on the country side stopped their education. In the cities things are a bit more organized and classes are held online but even so everyone is complaining and say it is hard to learn how to adopt to this new “normal” education. Who would have thought we would celebrate Easter in 2020 separated or having our communion online? The “normal” we used to know is not the”normal” anymore! Even going to the doctor is not as we used to know!

Our youngest had an inguinal hernia and when first went for the check at the emergency room, they send us home without even check on him because of Covid 19, I know it is ridicules! ( after the surgery the doctor said that his hernia was very big and was an emergency)! But again God proved that He was the One in control and opened another door at a different hospital ! Everything went perfect and he is in a very good condition! Unfortunately many people died from different medical problems because they cannot be treated in the hospital! Apparently only if you have symptoms of covid19 you are an emergency, the rest like any other diseases are not a priority! But even though things went out of control, humanly speaking, God was and still is in control! AMIN! Even though people around us are living in fear we can spread the peace of God ! The governors put us in isolation but God meant it for family to grow closer and He is looking for someone among us who would build up the wall and stand before Him in the gap on behalf of the land ! Is it our family that “someone”? So many challenges but also so many blessing! Blessed to live in times with internet and being able to preach and share the gospel via Facebook ( when isolated)! For God’s protection over our families and church! Even though we experienced covid19 ( our family but also church members) everyone of us came out ok and still alive J!

The miracle of moving into our first home in this hard times! Hosting bible study group with the ladies from our church is Ana’s dream came true! She loves being a hostJand the ladies enjoy it! So blessed for you to stay faithful to God and continue to help us through your prayers but also with your financials! To be honest we did not know what to expect from this year and knew that it will be a hard year for each of you but once again God showed us that it was not hard for Him and He would remain faithful !

We don’t know what 2021 holds for us but we know that our lives are in the hands of our Creator! Let us build the wall and stay before Him in the gap for our world! Even though traveling and moving around it is more strict nobody can put restrictions on our personal intercession before God for the lost neighbor, relative or friend! Have a blessed Christmas and a fruitful New Year!

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”Isaiah 9:6
